On picture #1
1. The light is coming from the left and slightly in front of the subject.
2. The model is sitting down with his body facing the left. His hands are stacked right over left on the handle of his cane as he looks into the camera.
3. It looks as though there is a backdrop so the setting is not as important as the subject/model.
4. The photographer is in from the model. There is no angle. The distance from the model is somewhat close but not as close as many of his other photos.
5. The cane can show age and so can the fact that he is sitting down. But his smile looks very confident so maybe looks can be deceiving. The shadow is on his back and the light is on his face. This shows that he is in the light and is proud of who he is. He won't hide his age in the shadows. He will embrace it and be confident.

Double Exposure
I chose the ocean image and a portrait of Chris to double expose. The wave texture of the ocean overlays the light area of the photo (Chris' face). It creates a contrast between the blue of his eyes and the saturated color in his hair. I transposed the ocean waves over his face. I had to mess with the opacity of the ocean and Devin helped make it more clean and look nicer. My photo's concept is calmness and bliss. The ocean has waves but is calm and blue. Chris has a calm facial expression.
